Argentina's inflation: Data on CPI and restatement indices

RESTATEMENT INDICES:

Are used to adjust or restate the value of an assets, liabilities, expenditures and income based on changes in inflation.

In the context of financial reporting or accounting, companies may use restatement indices to adjust the value of their assets on their balance sheets. This helps ensure that the reported values reflect the current purchasing power or market value of those assets.
In the case of inflation, consumer price index (CPI) is used to restate values to account for changes in purchasing power caused by rising prices.
Ultimately, restatement indices provide a way to compare values across different time periods or economic conditions, making financial analysis and decision-making more accurate and meaningful.

The restatement of information in homogeneous currency is essential to decision making and control, and mandatory in hyperinflationary economic contexts, also for the public in general.
CUMULATIVE INFLATION CALCULATOR:

Provides information about the Argentinian Consumer Price Index, the cumulative inflation rate between two given dates and the index of restatement. If the time passed between the two dates is equal to or greater than 4 months, then a graph is also plotted on the screen.
